Veteran Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy or “Area Fada,” has announced the birth of his great-grandchild at the age of 75.
The announcement was made via his official Instagram page, where he shared a photograph showing his grandson holding his newborn son.
In his caption, Oputa wrote:
“Behold, my grandson with my great-grandson. God never bless me reach?”
He added:
“As God no give me money, He blesses me with good health, children, both good ones and mad ones. He gave me grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Plus peace of mind.”
Family Background
Charly Boy comes from a prominent Nigerian family. He is the son of the late Chukwuemeka Oputa, a respected Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He is married to Diane Oputa, and together they have maintained a long-standing relationship often referenced in his interviews.
Oputa is reported to have over 10 children, from different relationships, and a growing number of grandchildren. The birth of this child places him among a small group of public figures in Nigeria who are great-grandparents while still active in public life.
