VeeKee James is making waves on social media for designing Bonang Matheba’s first outfit at the Miss South Africa 2024 finale, which was held on Saturday night.
Bonang, who served as the event’s host for the fourth time in a roll, expressed her delight over the turquoise and green mermaid couture dress, intricately beaded at the top.
The renowned South African TV personality, styled by Nigerian stylist Dahmola, donned five looks, all crafted by Nigerian designers, including The Lagos Paparazzi for her photography. Her hair was also styled by Nigerian Hair by Bukks and South African THE DON HAIR.
Her second outfit was designed by Somo, the third by Sheye Oladejo, and the fourth and fifth by Mazelle Bridals and Emagine by Bukola, respectively.
Interestingly, Bonang’s glam team choice was well-received by the Nigerian audience, unlike South Africans who held a xenophobic campaign against Miss Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, alleging false identity claims.
