Vandalism in FCT will be over soon, NSCDC assures

—

The head of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Olusola Odumosu, said he is making sure that people stop damaging important things that belong to the country in the FCT.

He told the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu, about this when he visited him in Abuja on Friday.

Odumosu promised that his team will keep trying to stop criminals in the FCT, especially those who damage things that belong to everyone, like roads and bridges.

He said they are working hard to make sure that people can enjoy the benefits of democracy without any problems caused by vandals.

He said they are really serious about stopping vandalism and stealing of public things like manhole covers, street lights, and water dams in the FCT.

He mentioned that they have already caught some people who were doing these bad things and took them to court. Even though they haven’t completely stopped it yet, they won’t give up until they do.

Odumosu also talked about how he wants to make sure schools in the FCT are safe. He asked the Chairman for help so that the NSCDC can do its job well and protect schools.

The Chairman of AMAC pledged ongoing support to the NSCDC in their efforts across the FCT.

He commended the NSCDC’s ability to operate independently and collaborate effectively with other agencies.

The Chairman emphasized the importance of this partnership in ensuring safety and security within the region, expressing confidence in the NSCDC’s capabilities.
