Popular Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe said his role in Nigeria’s highest-grossing film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” was the most challenging he has ever played.

Arukwe, who portrays Chidoke, an Igbo businessman and money launderer in the film, found the role difficult because he had to use the Igbo dialect and correctly pronounce ‘R’s and ‘L’s.

He shared this during a recent Q&A session with fans on the X platform.

When a fan asked, “What’s the most challenging role you have ever played?” Arukwe responded, “‘A Tribe Called Judah’ because I had to consciously replace the ‘L’ sound with the ‘R’ sound to make it feel natural and believable.”

The film’s producer, Funke Akindele, praised Arukwe for his performance, quoting his tweet and saying, “And you nailed it. Well done, bro. Thank you too.”
