Uzodinma’s Supreme Court Victory, a validation of Imo People’s mandate -Ohaneze Youths

The youth wing of the Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide has described the Supreme Court judgement on Friday, that upheld the re-election of Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, as satisfactory.

The acting National Leader of the Ohaneze Ndigbo youths, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, in a statement by National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Chika Art Adiele congratulated Governor Uzodinma on what he said was a well-deserved victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

According to him, “the Ohaneze Youths are satisfied with the Supreme Court’s verdict affirming the overwhelming validation of Governor Uzodimma’s visionary and transformative governance in Imo State, with unprecedented victory in the 27 LGAs of Imo State, having earned support from across Party lines and loyalties in the November 11th governorship election in the State.”

Recalling how he led a delegation of the Youth Wing to Owerri to convey the endorsement of all Igbo youths to the governor, in the run-up to the November 11th election, Okpalaezeukwu expressed confidence in the governor’s commitment to the progress and prosperity of Imo State.

He reaffirmed the support of the several millions of Igbo youths, worldwide, to the vision of prosperity, peace, safety, security and progress of the Motherland, Ala Igbo, as shared and championed by Governor Uzodimma.

Commending the governor for running an inclusive and youth-friendly administration in the last four years, the group revealed its willingness to collaborate more with the governor, to drive his sterling vision in youth empowerment and development, not just in Imo State, but across the Southeast and beyond.

Okpalaezeukwu said the youths are ever willing to collaborate with the government to consolidate its achievements, especially in the areas of youth development and security.

He said, “We are happy to identify with the vision of Governor Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity administration, and we will continue to collaborate in the areas of youth development and security for the overall good of our beautiful Motherland.”

While urging other contestants in the election to shelve their individual differences and align with the governor to move Imo State forward, the Ohaneze Youth leader said, “Now that we have reached the end of all legitimate contests to this election, we believe that it is time for all the contestants from the other parties to join hands with the governor to move the State forward.”
