Below are the movies set to be released this August:

“Jagun Jagun”

Jagun Jagun tells the story of how a young man determined to become a powerful warrior joins an elite army, encountering the wrath of a maniacal warlord and the love of a fierce woman.

The film stars: Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Yinka Quadri, and Odunlade Adekola amongst others.

“Mikolo”

Mikolo is a Nollywood fantasy movie that centers on a magical creature, Mikolo and a small family. It was written by  Niyi Akinmolayan and stars Etim Effiong and Yvonne Jegede alongside talented young actors, Fiyinfoluwa Asenuga and Oluwapamilerinayo, who play key roles in the movie.

Modern Woman 

The Modern Woman tells the story of a young woman who has career aspirations, familial responsibilities, and a blossoming love relationship. However, her life takes a drastic turn when she loses her pregnancy. The impact of the loss leads her on a journey of self-discovery, to reclaim her identity against social norms.

The stars Sharon Ooja, Timini Egbuson, Bimbo Akintola, Ebere Nwizu, Chinoso Arubayi, Juliet Ibrahim, Nene Nwanyo, and Kammel Audu amongst others.

Akudaaya

Akudaaya (The Wraith) is a Yoruba-language thriller movie. It follows the life of a man who gets the chance to change his fate.

The film stars Sola Sobowale, Olumide Oworu, Razaq Owokoniran, Hafiz Oyetoro, Yomi Fash-Lanso, and Bukunmi Oluwashina, amongst others.
