Arsenal were unlucky after drawing 2-2 against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this evening. Unexpectedly, Arsenal almost held on to a 2-1 full-time victory but were set back following John Stones’ equalizer in the late minutes of the second half.

First Half: Manchester City took an early lead at the Etihad Stadium, with Erling Haaland scoring brilliantly from a superb Savinho assist. It was his 100th goal in 105 appearances for the Cityzens since joining from Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Arsenal quickly responded when Ricardo Calafiori’s powerful strike beat Ederson, leveling the game. Just before halftime, Arsenal gained the advantage as Gabriel’s header put them ahead, leaving City trailing at the break. However, things took a turn for Arsenal as they were reduced to 10 men following Trossard’s red card.

Second Half: Manchester City intensified their possession, relying on it to break through Arsenal’s solid defense. Despite being down a man, Arsenal’s resilience and resistance to Manchester City’s attacks continued until John Stones’ 98th-minute equalizer dashed their hopes of a big win at the Etihad, where Arteta once coached.

Manchester City, with 13 points, go top of the table, while Liverpool and Arsenal remain in second and third positions with 12 points each after Matchday 5.
