Union Bank And Fate Foundation Collaborate To Support And Empower Entrepreneurs

The 8th edition of the Fate Foundation Alumni Conference, which focused on increasing possibilities for small and medium firms in the nation, was sponsored by Union Bank of Nigeria.

The conference was titled ‘Strategically Positioning Your Business: Opportunities in the New Dispensation’.

The bank saw a great chance to collaborate with the Fate Foundation and further their shared goals of supporting the expansion of SMEs and facilitating the success of small company owners in Nigeria, thanks to the well-attended event.

A nonprofit organization called Fate Foundation works to support aspiring and up-and-coming Nigerian business owners in starting, expanding, and growing their enterprises. It also supports the growth of an ecosystem that supports these firms. More than 7,500 graduates of the NGO’s numerous Medium Scale and Medium Enterprise training programs have benefited from its work throughout the years.

Similar to Fate Foundation, Union Bank has continuously led the way in enabling entrepreneurs to create profitable and long-lasting enterprises by offering specialized SME products, low-interest loans, and flexible repayment options. These have enabled them to unleash their inner creativity and drive and effect positive change in their local communities.

Honors such as the 2023 Global Finance Award for Best SME Bank of the Year demonstrate the Bank’s steadfast support of Nigeria’s small companies and SME sector.

Speaking during the Fate Foundation Alumni Conference, Union Bank’s Chief Brand and Marketing Officer Olufunmilola Aluko stated that “Union Bank is truly excited to be part of this exceptional event dedicated to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs because this conference aligns with our organizational mission of enabling success for entrepreneurs. This year’s conference is not just timely but a call to action. Entrepreneurs are the catalysts of change, innovation, and progress in a rapidly evolving world. Therefore, it is important to gather to discuss ways to move forward.”

Speakers at the parley included a wide range of stakeholders and attendees, such as Managing Directors and CEOs of large corporations, owners of SMEs and MSME, exhibitors, and alumni of the Fate Foundation. These individuals exchanged knowledge and gained insights on current issues that are critical for the development and success of entrepreneurship from seasoned leaders in the field.
