Afrobeat superstar Burna Boy recently shared a surprising update about his financial success, revealing that he’s now wealthier than many of the Nigerian politicians and oil moguls he once admired.
In an Instagram story on Saturday, Burna Boy urged his followers to never underestimate those younger or seemingly less established.
Reflecting on his own journey, he said, “Imagine growing up and seeing only oil men and politicians making serious money, with G boys next in line. Back then, music wasn’t even part of the money conversation.”
Now, as he puts it, “an ugly black boy musician from Port Harcourt” has surpassed 90% of those he once saw as the big earners.
Burna Boy’s message? Don’t look down on anyone. Today’s underdog might just be tomorrow’s Elon Musk.
