Uche Montana Breaks Silence on Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko Allegations

The dispute between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has intensified following new statements from those linked to the ongoing allegations in their household.

On Monday, actress Uche Montana released a statement on her Instagram page denying any role in the alleged drug-related problems involving Regina Daniels.

Montana was reacting to a Facebook post in which Senator Nwoko accused some of Regina’s siblings and close associates, including Montana and actress Sonia Uche, of interfering in Regina’s reported rehabilitation.

“For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace,” Montana wrote.

In his detailed post, Senator Nwoko alleged that Regina’s siblings and friends repeatedly violated medical instructions during her therapy.

He claimed they “brought her the same drugs she was being treated for” and undermined attempts to restrict access to her during treatment.

Senator Nwoko further stated that the marital strain is linked to Regina’s alleged drug and alcohol use, which he says led to violent incidents in their home. He alleged that Regina assaulted three domestic staff members within 48 hours and moved to a residence where there was “unrestricted access to drugs.”

Responding to reports that Regina accused him of neglecting her family, Nwoko said he had given ₦125 million to her mother in the last two years. He also disclosed that he funded a $75,000 postgraduate programme for Regina’s brother, Lawrence, in London.

He added that another brother, Sammy, rejected support and had faced multiple arrests by law enforcement agencies.

What he needs now is total rehabilitation,” the senator wrote.

Nwoko denied allegations of domestic abuse, stating:

“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here.”

Regina Daniels, in earlier posts and a circulated video two weeks ago, rejected the claims. She said she had been subjected to domestic abuse and described her life in the marriage as that of a “slave.”

She alleged that Senator Nwoko introduced her to substances he now blames her for, confiscated her phones, restricted her movement, and forced himself on her when she resisted.

Regina also accused her husband of using his influence to have her siblings detained to compel her to return to rehabilitation.

She warned that her youngest sister might also be targeted. She stated that her priority is the protection of her children and family and urged the public to stop attacking her relatives online.

The conflict, which began privately, has now become public through social media statements and video posts from both sides.

Friends, relatives, and public figures are increasingly being drawn into the dispute as each side rejects the other’s version of events.

At the time of this report, there has been no indication of mediation or a private settlement, and both parties continue to stand by their accounts.
