UBA Named The ‘African Champion Of The Year’

Following its conclusion in Lome, Togo, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc was crowned the African Champion of the Year 2023 at the Africa Financial Industry Summit.

The Africa Financial Industry Summit (AFIS) is widely known for its recognition of exceptional accomplishments in the financial sector. It is organized by Jeune Media Group, producers of the pan-African periodicals Jeune Afrique and African Report.

According to a statement from the bank, UBA received the award in recognition of its outstanding work and major influence in reshaping the financial sector in Africa.

The organizers claim that this enormous recognition is proof of UBA’s everlasting dedication to quality and innovation as well as its crucial role in influencing the financial environment throughout the African continent.

Amir Ben Yahmed, Managing Director of Jeune Media Group, emphasized UBA’s dedication to promoting technology innovation, financial inclusion, and economic prosperity. He claims that these have helped to establish the bank as a real trailblazer in the financial industry of Africa.

Abiola Bawuah, the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of UBA Africa, accepted the award on the bank’s behalf and expressed her excitement, pointing out that UBA is still in a position to make a major contribution to the continent’s economic growth and prosperity.
