South African singer Tyla has released a new song titled Game Time with American rapper Future as part of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album.
The song was released on Friday, May 29, 2026. It is one of several official tracks ahead of the tournament scheduled to begin in June 2026 across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Tyla described her participation in the project as significant for her career and personal background. According to her:
“Being part of the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album feels like a full circle moment — from South Africa hosting the World Cup in 2010. I’m so excited to perform at the opening ceremonies! Let’s go Bafana Bafana.”
Notably, the 2010 FIFA World Cup was hosted in South Africa and marked the first time the tournament was staged on the African continent.
Tyla is expected to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup, which begins on June 11, 2026.
She is listed among artists attached to the tournament’s official music programme, alongside other international performers including Rema, Lisa, Shakira, and Katy Perry.
The opening ceremony performances are expected to take place across host venues in North America, with Tyla associated with the Mexico opening fixture involving South Africa vs Mexico in Group A at Estadio Azteca.
