British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a fatal road accident on Tuesday in Makun, Ogun State, that left two people dead.
The crash occurred along the busy Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, where the Lexus SUV conveying the former heavyweight champion, with registration number KRD 850 HN, reportedly rammed into a stationary truck. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.
Sources said Joshua sustained only minor injuries and was treated, while two occupants died instantly at the scene, throwing the area into panic.
Emergency responders and security officials later arrived at the scene as investigations into the tragic incident continue.
