Taking to Instagram, the actress and filmmaker poured out her heartfelt gratitude to fans for their unwavering support. In a warm yet pointed message, she acknowledged her supporters while subtly addressing the trend of using gifts to attract moviegoers—a practice associated with some industry colleagues like Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe (though no names were mentioned directly).

“Without expecting gifts or inducements at the box office to buy tickets, you’ve stood by us, and we are deeply grateful,” Toyin wrote.
