Tinubu Seeks Senate Confirmation of Newly Appointed Service Chiefs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally written to the Senate, seeking confirmation of the newly appointed Service Chiefs in accordance with constitutional provisions.
The request was conveyed in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Tuesday’s plenary session at the National Assembly in Abuja.
In the letter, President Tinubu urged the upper chamber to give prompt consideration and approval to his nominees to enable them to assume their responsibilities in strengthening the nation’s security architecture.
The Service Chiefs were recently appointed as part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance professionalism, efficiency, and coordination within the Armed Forces.
The confirmation process is expected to take place before the Senate Committee on Defence, after which a report will be submitted to the full chamber for approval.
