President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), Engr. Cornelius Adebayo Olusegun, on his 40th birthday, praising his contributions to Nigeria’s agricultural transformation.
In a statement on Wednesday, the President commended NALDA for cultivating more than 3,500 hectares of farmland across the country, describing the initiative as a major boost to his administration’s drive to strengthen food security, increase local food production, and stimulate economic growth.
Tinubu said Adebayo’s achievements reflect the emergence of a new generation of public sector leaders committed to innovation, accountability, and results-oriented governance.
The President also lauded the NALDA boss for spearheading reforms that have empowered over 5,000 smallholder farmers through mechanization programs, improving productivity and livelihoods in rural communities. He further praised the agency’s efforts in engaging more than 500 youths in Climate-Smart Agriculture.
Congratulating Adebayo on his milestone birthday, Tinubu said his dedication and passion for developing the agricultural sector were helping to unlock Nigeria’s vast agricultural potential and improve the lives of thousands of citizens.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments for the NALDA chief in the years ahead.
