Tinubu And The Unrighteous Manager

President Tinubu in Trouble

When one says there is nothing new under the sun, it comes to so many as a tale unfounded, crafted to achieve some selfish purposes. For Christians, they hear often, how everything happening now, politically, socially, spiritually etc could be found its semblance in the bible. How true is this? One may be tempted to query.

Apart from exercising right of freedom of expression, I would have said, query no more on that because there is no single thing happening now that its semblance cannot be found in the bible.

If one finds it difficult to relate with such events in the bible, it is not that they are not there, it simply shows how shallow ones digging into the scripture is, raw gold naturally are not found on the surface.

Life is a circle, it goes round. What comes to one as new, had already been seen by many long ago. The parable of the unrighteous Manager in the gospel of Luke 16.1-13 caught my attention this morning. For those who may not have the time to read the passage, permit me to refresh your memory of the storyline.

It is about a certain rich man who had a terrible dishonest Manager. He did nothing but to squander his money. When he eventually got wind of the master’s plan to sack him, smartly he approached all his master’ debtors, one after the other and reduced their indebtedness to his master.

He didn’t do it because of the love he had for them, he did it to curry favour when eventually he would be sacked, he probably would get assistance from them, after all one good turn deserves another.

He was building his social and economic capital, hedging his future and ensuring through this unrighteous and deceitful enterprise that he doesn’t suffer once he is laid off.

It is on record that this present administration is have a credibility challenge. The stability isn’t firm and the likelihood of a sack not remote. The political tempo is at its crescendo and the fury of many very fiery and inflammable. The image of the country worths less than a straw and its fragrance very offensively disgraceful because of forgery and corruption cases.

President Tinubu Approves N35,000 Provisional Wage Award For FG Workers

The country at this moment is at its lowest level of credibility before the international community.

He knew all these, and the end isn’t looking cheering. Like the biblical unrighteous manager, he is devicing ways to clean up his already tarnished image by making appointments. Within this short period Mr. Tinubu has massively done well in appointments than in building institutions and providing basic essentials for the masses.

It is on record that he didn’t do majority of those appointments on need assessment but as tools for political settlement, divide and rule strategy, stoking up sympathy in the event of his sack which of course is imminent.

Less than 200 days in office the plethora of political appointments made by him, very humongous. Like a surging river he floods everywhere, duplicating positions beyond necessity.

As the days of his exit draw nearer, the anxiety of how he would fare outside the cozy environment of his master’ Palace became worrisome. As he thinks, not being clear on how to get out of this shameful conundrum, the idea of further cheating his master by giving away the master’ riches to his debtors, by way of wasting the resources of the nation on needless appointments became for him an opening for a safe landing.

We are watching. We are praying too. Our strategies are legion, this battle must be won. We are ready, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

This stronghold appears indomitable and invincible, raging and intimidating for years. To him and his supporters, he is that cat with a nine lives, like other years he would walk out of this uncaged, celebrated. It may have been the trend, but this time his waterloo is waiting, strategically positioned to give no rest to the wicked.

To those who see in him a hero. To those who see him as their Lord and master, to those who celebrate his deceit, corruption, forgery and all manner of unethical deeds, may you all share in your private life these scandals. Amen!!

Nigeria must rise! Nigeria image and survival much more than the selfish ambition of one man and his handful of gullible, praise singers and gallery playing gossipers, who find in their vomits a thing of attraction for a lick. How disgusting!!😭
