Nigerian TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, has completed traditional marriage rites with his partner, Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis.
The couple held a family introduction and bride price ceremony on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Peller, 20, shared the news on Instagram. “Today, I proudly paid the bride price of the woman I love,” he wrote. He described the day as the start of a new chapter, adding, “She said ‘yes’ to forever, and now it’s time to build our future together.” He also called himself “officially off the market.”
Photos from the ceremony show Peller in a white shirt, George wrapper, and coral beads. Jarvis wore a red wrapper, coral accessories, and a beaded crown.
Peller, whose full name is Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, was born on May 10, 2005, in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He began posting on TikTok in 2021 and built his following through live streams and comedy skits. He met Jarvis, a fellow content creator known for AI-style skits, through a collaboration in 2024 on his series “Peller’s Palava.”
The bride price ceremony followed a proposal weeks earlier at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. Peller had first proposed in December 2024, though Jarvis described it at the time as more of a promise ring than an engagement. The relationship has had public setbacks. In January 2026, Peller said on a livestream that the couple had broken up but remained friends, and that he had apologized to her family. They reconciled soon after.
Reaction online has been largely positive. Fans, who call the couple “Jarpel,” flooded the comments with congratulations. “Congratulations to you, my dear. Your union is blessed,” wrote one user, Levi Ezenwa. Another, Sir Williams, wrote, “Congratulations my dear your marriage will last, forget what social media says… take good care of your husband and always respect him.”
Not everyone welcomed the news. Fellow TikToker Ojaigho Prosper, known as GehGeh, criticized the marriage on X, arguing that financial success alone does not make someone ready for marriage. “Y’all are justifying his act with ‘he has the money, allow him.’ But y’all failed to ask yourself if he’s ready mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually,” he wrote. He said he had advised Peller against marrying so young, but his advice was ignored, adding, “Peller don go marry Jarvis… upon all my advice this boy still pour spit for my face.”
Other users questioned the couple’s readiness given their age and history of public breakups, while some speculated the event was staged for content. One commenter, Collette001, asked, “Is this not a skit? Waw. Congratulations to you and yours.”
The couple is yet to announce the dates for their traditional wedding and white wedding ceremonies.
