TikTok has launched a new feature called “Manage Topics” that allows users to have greater control over the content displayed on their For You feed.Â
This feature is now available to users in the United States.
The “Manage Topics” feature enables users to tailor their For You feed by adjusting the prominence of specific topics such as sports, travel, humor, and more.
Users can access this feature by navigating to Settings > Content Preferences > Manage Topics.
Once there, they can use sliders to adjust their preferences and click an information button to learn more about what each topic encompasses.
This update marks a significant improvement over previous customization options, offering a more precise way to personalize content.
Unlike earlier tools, such as refreshing the For You feed or manually filtering content with keywords and hashtags, the new feature simplifies the process, allowing for a smoother, more intuitive experience.
It is important to note that changes made using the “Manage Topics” feature may take some time to fully reflect in the For You feed as the app personalizes content based on the new settings.
