Three state governors host football star, Moses Simon

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon recently received warm welcome from the governors of Benue, Kaduna, and Plateau states. 

He was honored for his contributions to the national team, particularly during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations where Nigeria secured the silver medal.

Born to parents from Benue, Moses Simon was graciously hosted by Governor Hyacinth Alia, who expressed gratitude for the positive image he has projected for the state, especially during his participation in the tournament held in Cote d’Ivoire.

Additionally, Moses Simon, who hails from Kaduna, was warmly welcomed at the Government House by Governor Uba Sani.

The governor commended Simon’s efforts in empowering youth through his Simoiben Academy, expressing appreciation on behalf of the people of Kaduna State.

Similarly, the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, took pride in receiving Simon, emphasizing his satisfaction with the Super Eagles’ performance and thanking the player for his loyalty to Nigeria.

Governor Mutfwang also referred to Moses Simon as an adopted son of Plateau State, underscoring the deep connection between the player and his birthplace.

Moses Simon’s journey in football began at the Golden Boot Academy in Jos, showcasing his humble beginnings and the path that led him to become a prominent figure in Nigerian football.
