This Is Our Chance: All Eyes On The Masses

Who remembers this book “This Is Our Chance”by James Ene Henshaw? Quite and interesting book of cultural conflicts. Tradition and a new wave of orientation. Though weaved around love , I find the revolution and need to change to a new order which principally was the storyline very relevant in our present political conflict.

Just yesterday, social media was inundated with images of well designed and beautifully worded bag, “All Eyes On The Judiciary”. It is trending and many were seen brandishing the bags. To those who came up with such apt and ingenious idea, I hug you with a delightful heart , taping you on the back for a good move.

Beyond all eyes being on the judiciary, all and more intensed eyes should be on the masess. In the spirit of the creative ingenuity of James Henshaw This is Our Chance! We can’t afford to fling it away with an attitude lacking in incendiary . This is our chance to stop the dominance of the old order of corruption, nepotism etc. This is our chance to bring to an end the insensitivity of our leaders over the plight and pains of the masses. This is our chance to say no to the obvious ridicule of the woes of the masess by those who as it were should protect us. It wasn’t enough for them when they turned let The poor breathe into a hilarious game of legislation.

They all chorused in what could be seen as a painful sarcasm, “Let The Poor breathe” , displaying some mockery smiles, the gavel went up and with sound that echoed jest and unseriouness it hits the table.

Do they need any legislation for the poor to be allowed to breathe? The poor have become a very vulnerable pawn in their hands, worth less than a straw, clamped down with poverty and reduced to mere footmat. Let the poor be allowed to breathe, still they shared humongous “prayers” to their email boxes to enable them have a safe trip for their break, while the poor remain “prayer less:, gasping for the deliverance that come from such “prayer” sharing.

This is our chance! All Eyes On The Masses to do something more than watching the judiciary. Let us do something more than watching the judiciary, crying when the head is off would be as needless as closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Will it be a violation of any right or breach of public peace if we the Masses occupy a space in the judiciary, giving life and vigor to this act of watching? Desperate situation needs desperate action. Power isn’t given, it is taken and he who is absent risks his own piece of yam being off the heat of embers of a stoking fire. Let do something. We can’t allow them to rape us a second time, that would be inglorious and a shame on our collective integrity. This is our chance! Now or never!!
