The National Publicity Secretary of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC), Abdullahi Bolaji, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of partisanship, insisting the electoral body is working to undermine the party’s leadership structure.
Speaking during an interview on AriseNews monitored by The News Chronicle, Bolaji revealed that INEC officials were present at the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on July 29, 2025 where the commission reportedly recognised the David Mark-led leadership of the ADC.
He dismissed claims that the party lacked a legitimate leadership at any point, describing INEC’s subsequent move to strike out the party’s leadership as criminal and politically motivated.
“As of today, we don’t trust INEC. They have shown that they are partisan,” Bolaji said.
He further alleged a broader political agenda, warning that attempts were underway to tilt the 2027 elections in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“When we say INEC is trying to make President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the sole candidate in the 2027 election, people think we are being hysterical,” he added.
