There Are Still Challenges Ahead- Tinubu Admits Nigerians Still Battling Hardship, Insecurity

President Bola Tinubu has acknowledged the pain many Nigerians are still enduring as rising living costs and insecurity continue to weigh heavily on families across the country.

Speaking on Sunday while accepting the 2027 presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, Tinubu admitted that despite ongoing reforms, millions of citizens are still struggling to cope with the harsh economic realities.

However, there are still challenges ahead. Many Nigerians continue to face challenges with increasing prices and changes in the economy,” the President said.

He said his administration understands the frustration and hardship being experienced by ordinary Nigerians and is working to address the situation with “honesty and decisive action.”

“We take these concerns seriously; we see them and lead not from a place of ease, but from a true understanding of the situation,” Tinubu stated.

The President also admitted that insecurity remains a major concern in several parts of the country, with many communities still living in fear despite ongoing military operations.

“I recognize that there are still security challenges facing some areas of our great country,” he said.

Tinubu noted that his government has increased investment in intelligence gathering, surveillance systems, and modern security equipment to tackle the crisis, while also addressing the root causes of violence and unrest.

“We have put money into intelligence, watching over things, and new tools, and we are working on the main reasons behind insecurity,” he added.

He further urged the National Assembly to urgently approve state police, describing it as a matter of national emergency amid worsening security concerns in parts of the country.
