Chains are made of iron, some are made of gold, silver and diamond. Each of these links comes together to form a bond. But the strength of the bond formed isn’t in the strength of the strongest link, but rather in the strength of the weakest link. Our achievements do not define us, what defines us is our failures. One’s success isn’t as resounding and talked about as one’s failure. The former travels with restrictions while the latter goes with the speed of light, covering distances in split seconds.
Like the score or grading system in law school, one’s lowest score defines one’s rating and grading. It may seem unfair, but in reality, such is what life is. Nobody remembers one’s A’s and B’s; that F that stands in between becomes the lens through which one’s result is seen and assessed. The ability of teachers isn’t measured by the number of brilliant students that passed through them, but rather by the number that failed under their tutelage. Life is wired to amplify one’s weakness while the strength remains hidden and less talked about and appreciated.
Pastors aren’t defined by the multitude of souls won, but by the souls lost in immorality and godlessness under them. Parenting isn’t measured by the number of well-behaved children raised, but rather by that singular one who chose the path of prodigality. Such is the society we live in , pushing further and faster negative narratives than positives.
Place positives and negatives side by side and ask people to share, like and comment, the latter would get more than the former.
Try to be above board in all things, a safer place to be. Though it may be very challenging, just try and be the best you can , having all the links of your chains as strong as the other , leaving no room for weakness. However strong all the links are, one weak link makes the whole strength of the other links useless.
Leaving the 99 safe sheep to look for the one lost shows how powerful weak links are. Forgetting the good and righteous life of one and judging them by one’s single mistake equally shows how powerful weak links are.
By all means avoid any Achilles heel, any clay spot, and any opening in the boat of one’s life. Though small and oftentimes negligible, but when shove comes to push, one’s assessment and definition they may be, while no one remembers other strong and ebullient qualities of one’s.
No attention is paid to the white snow garment, on that stained tiny spot the attention of eyes are drawn. Live at all times above board if you can, a safe place to be. Though difficult and challenging, it can be done through Christ who strengthens.
Life treats and assesses one via negativa, giving oxygen to it to thrive, fanning it into massive flames as it trends boundlessly, while the flame of positivity is allowed to struggle amidst the breeze, wind, and storm of life, extinguishing sooner than imagined.
Presentation, interview, teaching, etc, are often judged by the mistake, though insignificant, made inadvertently, while the massive stunning points made with mastery nobody remembers or commends? Such is the power of weak links, they make the whole edifice of 92% perfection with 8% defect look deficient. Life often judges us by that one time we didn’t show benevolence over the many times our milk of human kindness was a tap many fetched from?
Such is the power of weak points, very compelling, overshadowing everything else to become a cynosure in negativity. Avoid weak links if you can, nothing else shines and glows once they are present in the minds of humans.
