General Lagbaja emphasized his commitment to firsthand assessment of troops’ welfare and operational readiness, motivating his visit even on a public holiday.
He highlighted the Nigerian Army’s transformative efforts, backed by the Federal Government’s support in providing essential combat resources and enhancing personnel welfare programs.
These initiatives, he noted, are bolstering the troops’ effectiveness and morale, including the clearance of overdue Group Life Assurance claims dating back to 2012 and ongoing improvements in working and living conditions for soldiers and their families.
Assuring swift resolution of identified challenges within the Brigade, the COAS underscored the importance of collaboration between the military and civilian sectors for sustained peace and security.
During his visit, General Lagbaja also paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Adamawa State, Right Honourable Ahmadu Umar Fintiri, expressing gratitude for the state government and its citizens’ support in fostering peace.
