In the Art of War, terrain determines actions. Different times, different tactics. Times have changed, my people. The earlier we know and understand that 2027 is going to be a new and different ball game entirely, the better for us.

I was musing this morning. Thinking about our next move. Then news came: Sahara Reporters just published our broadcast on EDUCATION — NIGERIA IS STILL TEACHING CHILDREN FOR A WORLD THAT NO LONGER EXISTS: THE 2040 TEST — today, from New York, USA.
Sahara Reporters was founded in 2006 in a small room in Manhattan by Omoyele Sowore, with grants, no money from Nigerian government. That is new terrain.
In 2015 terrain, Sego with GLE 350 and NURTW 001 plate and boys could seize PVCs and newspaper editors would beg before publishing. In 2026 terrain, a message written in Ijebu-Ode is published same day in New York and broadcast to 10,000 phones before Sego starts his GLE.
Terrain determines tactics.
Fela’s Jewun ko ku was strategic patience when knife and yam dey their hand. When the oppressor holds knife and yam, you don’t fight with cutlass. You look and laugh. You watch their rickety democracy crumble by its own greed. You preserve your soul.
But Fela also said Look and Laugh because he knew time would change. Knife can spoil. Yam can rot. And those who held knife and yam yesterday may beg for spoon tomorrow.
That time is now. 2027 terrain is different.
What is new terrain of 2027?
1. BVAS and IReV — Your vote can now be photographed, uploaded, defended. As Barr. Femi Falana, SAN warned two days ago: “Get ready, form groups to defend the votes of everybody in Lagos. Because going by what happened in last election, violence will be introduced & we didn’t fight for this rickety democracy where anyone can be asked not to vote.”
2. Demography — 70% youth who know food does not come from Shoprite but know Japa is not plan. They were Primary 1 in 2010, now voters in 2027. They will compete with child in Bangalore and Berlin. They cannot be told not to vote because they look Igbo.
3. Information — Sahara Reporters New York, Falana video viral, Canadian Federal Court ruling that APC and PDP use violence and coercion that meets terrorism definition. Information is no longer in their hand. Phone and data is in our hand. WITNESS 2026/2036 broadcast is in our hand.
4. Global validation — Our SEGO campaign that started as roadside observation of GLE 350 with NURTW 001 plate is now echoed by SAN and validated by foreign court. Characters like Agberos are not permitted in a decent democracy. That is no longer roadside talk, it is legal doctrine.
So knife and yam may still dey their hand, but yam don spoil. Youth don wise. Microphone don comot for their hand. Mic na our hand now.
This brings me to Martin Luther King Jr’s warning, which we shared in the image today:
WE NEED LEADERS NOT IN LOVE WITH MONEY BUT IN LOVE WITH JUSTICE. NOT IN LOVE WITH PUBLICITY BUT IN LOVE WITH HUMANITY.
Characters like Agberos are in love with money and publicity — GLE 350, NURTW 001 special plate for show, convoy to intimidate polling unit.
Professor with small car is in love with justice and humanity — ideas, 5Cs, building children for 2040.
A decent democracy does not permit Agbero with luxury SUV and special number plate to decide who votes. Decent democracy does not permit asking citizen not to vote because he is Igbo. That is what Falana said. That is what Canadian court said. That is what Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 says — intimidation for political purpose is terrorism.
In a decent democracy, Agbero GLE 350 = Intimidation on wheels is disqualified. Professor small car = Ideas is qualified.
So what is our tactic for new terrain?
Sun Tzu says: Do not repeat tactics that won yesterday. Terrain has changed.
Old tactic: Jewun ko ku — Look and Laugh while they chop.
New tactic: Document, photograph result sheet, upload to IReV, publish via Sahara Reporters New York, form groups to defend votes of everybody as Falana said, link to global courts.
Old tactic: Wait for government job that does not exist, because school taught you to memorize for 1985.
New tactic: Teach every Primary 2 child to touch computer, coding as basic literacy, one digital skill before leaving secondary school, as we proposed in 2040 TEST that Sahara published.
We are not fighting for knife and yam now. We are fighting for conscience. Because as Fela said — No be our hand this moves dey — But WITNESS 2026/2036 says — Future na our hand if we teach children for 2040, not 1985.
My father used to say: Ki Olorun tun ilu wa se — May God repair our nation. Repair begins with terrain reading. Early we sabi that 2027 na new ball game entirely, the better for us.
We need leaders not in love with money but in love with justice. Characters like agberos are not permitted. Children must be taught for 2040 not 1985.
Three broadcasts, one message: 2027 must be election of ideas, not election of Agberos.
Look and laugh no more in sorrow. Look and laugh now in confidence — because terrain don change.
