Tanker Crushes First-Class Graduate In Abia Moments After Clearance

A Fresh Graduate of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, identified as Miss Mary Ogechi EzekielĀ  was crushed to death shortly after her clearance in preparation for NYSC.

The sad incident occurred on Tuesday, March. 5, 2024.

 

The deceased who was said to have been crushed by a fast-moving tanker in front of the institution, had reportedly graduated with a first class from the department of accounting in the Polytechnic.

 

It was learnt that she had visited the school for academic clearance, preparatory to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

Reports say while making her way out of the school after carrying out the clearance, she exchanged pleasantries with her colleagues and then expressed joy that she would be mobilized for NYSC in no distant time.

 

According to a source on facebook, the deceased was ā€œknocked down by a tricycle while trying to cross to the other side of the road. Before she could get up, she was then crushed by a fast-moving truck.

Raised by her struggling mother, Ogechi was said to have been granted a scholarship from an organization to do a post-graduate course before her untimely exit from mother earth.

Meanwhile, following her death, aggrieved students of the institution stormed the street and surrounded the tanker that crushed her to death.
