Sokoto South Senator, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has initiated the distribution of food items for Ramadan and Sallah Celebration to more than 30,000 families within his constituency.

Tambuwal, Motivated by the challenging economic circumstances faced by many, outlined a comprehensive assistance strategy that will be delivered in stages.

Speaking from his residence in Sokoto, the Senator detailed the provision of rice and financial support aimed at empowering individuals to establish small enterprises.

“In the first phase, we shall reach 30,000 households with bags of rice, seed capital for small-scale businesses and we will do more throughout the holy month of Ramadan, and beyond.” He said.

He said they will keep giving help during Ramadan, a special month for Muslims, and even after that.

Tambuwal also mentioned that he’s giving scholarships to students from his area. He thinks education is important and wants to help young people.

“With gratitude to Almighty Allah SWT, we have commenced the distribution of food items, seed capital, and scholarships in Sokoto with emphasis on Sokoto South, my constituency. Without a doubt, the times are challenging, but we are committed to bringing succor to our people. We are on course. We believe in action as we will be doing all that we can for our people at such a critical period in our national lives”.

He also talked about rumors that he didn’t go to an event about security. He said he didn’t know about it, so he didn’t go. But he wants peace and development in Sokoto and is ready to help if needed.

Even though his party lost in the last governor election, Tambuwal still wants to help his people. He says his main job as a senator is to make laws and check on the government.

“We know that representatives, when they are elected, their job is to uphold the law, monitoring government, and bring constituency projects, we will continue to be committed in this regard”

Several significant individuals graced the occasion, ranging from a hopeful gubernatorial candidate to the esteemed head of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto, alongside various other political figures.
