American singer Swae Lee has advised his fans not to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.
He claimed that the money sent by Harris and President Joe Biden to other countries over the past years could have been used to improve the lives of Americans.
Swae Lee, known for the song “Sunflower,” specifically urged Black people to make informed decisions and not be swayed by sentiment, warning that it could have negative consequences.
On social media platform X, Lee wrote: “Do not vote for Kamala! Do your research on that whole camp.
“I pay millions in taxes every year, and this man [President Biden] sent it to another country! The money taken from your paychecks was given away! Think about that.
“With the money we sent away, every American citizen could’ve received at least $200,000. But I guess we don’t need it, and y’all are supporting Kamala.
“My Black people, she doesn’t do anything but approve things that are against us. Voting just because you think she’s Black won’t end in your favor.”
Lee’s comments have sparked a debate among his followers, with many discussing the impact of foreign aid and the importance of voting based on policies rather than personal identity.
