Suspect admits to being offered N20,000 to steal male genitals

—

A 24-year-old man, Habib Kachalla, suspected of stealing male genitals, admitted to the crime in Jigawa State.

Kachalla, hailing from Yan-Ciyawa village in Yobe State, was captured by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa.

The NSCDC’s spokesperson, Asc Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud, revealed that Kachalla confessed to stealing the manhood of five unsuspecting victims in the state.

Kachalla, during interrogation, disclosed that he had been offered N20,000 to carry out this strange theft. He claimed it was his first operation before being apprehended.

Mahmud stated, “NSCDC operatives arrested a suspected male genital thief, Habib Kachalla, on January 29, 2024, for stealing the genitals of five teenagers in Gida Dubu Quarters, Dutse LGA, Jigawa State.

Kachalla was apprehended on Hakimi Street around 2100hrs after a distress call by residents who reported victims, including a 14-year-old boy.”

According to Mahmud, Kachalla explained that he met an unknown person while walking in Nguru LGA, Yobe State, who offered him N20,000.

Despite not knowing the person, Kachalla accepted the offer due to financial need, agreeing to become his partner in the crime of stealing genitals for a commission. The suspect claimed he did not know the purpose behind stealing male organs.

“The suspect confessed to stealing the genitals of the victims, but NSCDC officials intervened and recovered the organs.

He admitted that this was his first time engaging in such a crime, leading to his arrest.

The State Commandant, Muhammad Danjuma, has ordered a discreet investigation, and the suspect will face possible prosecution in a court of competent jurisdiction,” Mahmud added.
