In a scathing revelation, Ben Kure, former political adviser to ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has branded his support for the controversial leader as the “greatest mistake” of his political career.
Kure, who spearheaded El-Rufai’s successful 2015 and 2019 gubernatorial campaigns, accused the former governor of running a divisive regime fueled by ethnicity, religion, and exclusion.
According to Kure, his growing disillusionment was masked by loyalty to the party and faint hope that Kaduna might recover from what he described as El-Rufai’s manipulative leadership style.
“I stayed for the party, but the damage was too deep,” he added.
