Stolen money is forbidden- Umahi

The governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, has called on politicians at all level to desist from accumulating wealth for themselves only and said that he hate touching stolen money. Umahi made this known while laying the foundation for a new government house located at the centenary city, Abakaliki. He equally lamented that the state government had come in contact with too many investors only to discover that none of them were genuine. The governor decried that there are no more Investors in Nigeria, stressing that many of them are dupers and that no genuine ones among those parading themselves especially in Ebonyi state. His words,” During EXCO, we made efforts to get investors but we could not get them; by tomorrow I will let the nation know there are no investors, people just want to rip this nation off continuously. They will come as pretenders; We have been with them for the past one year and three months and they have been playing all kinds of tricks. He disclosed that several groups claiming to be investors indicated interest in building the shopping mall and in doing other projects in the state but when government discovered their tricks, they all run away because they all came as pretenders. He noted that he decided to take the bull by the horn rather than chasing shadows waiting for investors who are nowhere to be found. He said the state would send a delegation to Dubia to understudy emerald mall so as to pattern the Abakaliki mall in that status. Umahi said he will send a bill to the state House of Assembly that will prohibit idleness in the state as it is done in China. The governor also laid foundation for Ecumenical Centre and the new government house in the centenary city.
