Still Seen Through the Lens of Sarcasm and Subsidiarity

Traditional is taken as if it’s unreachable and unrestrained.

On one hand, there is acknowledgement, encouragement

and optimism; on the other, disapproval, disdain and doubt,

yet the intent of both healers is to remedy a ruining health challenge.

Pharmaceutical is medicinal, so is herbal. Pharmaceutical is gainful.

Whether it is fair or not is debatable. A pharmaceutical labels and dispenses.

Is a pharmaceutical not a commercial that specializes in medicines?

Is it not because it is higher than a health issue? Is it not psychological?

Political, historical, stereotypical, societal, financial, mystical, or cultural?

Is it not one-dimensional? It is not personal; it is communal and universal.

Consider its financial and political imports, implications and complications.

You possibly picture wealth in the sense of a series of cooperations and options.

The capitalists and hegemonies lament the end of profits, cash and corporations!

Multi-corporations are gurus of branding and persuasion.

Let us put a scenario or a comparison under a microscope.

Candied rather candid news on a regular event or invention

that happens in one of the mighty and industrialized nations

or the often-glorified paragons of democracy and development—

usually sails and spreads far and wide, not necessarily on the basis

of its legitimacy, assistance, substance or worth but by force and design

of fixed systems in place that make its show reachable, audible and credible.

For instance, a concoction that cures a skin ailment by an African herbalist

is no development, and hence barely cuts through the mainstream headlines.
