Still A Child Of God?

I, am still a child! To my parents? Still a child. To my God? Still a child of God. far from the complexities and baggage of a man of God.

I am still a child, striving to remain and maintain the boundaries of childhood where the grace to make heaven abound.

I am a child of God , not childish in his presence, but childlike. I am a child ,childlike in disposition, in conduct and in relationship.

I am not childish, being petty, capricious, whining over frivolities, seeking things with greed and insatiability.

I am a child, childlike in humility, in love, in fidelity, counting wrong where they exist genuinely, holding not unto them until dawn without forgiving.

I am a child, who bears his mind and expresses his feelings without pretence. I am a child! Truth, my guiding principle, saying it the way it is ,minding not whose ox is gored.

I am a child not in age, not in experience. I am a child, in mind, bearing no grudges, living above envy, animosity and jealousy.

I am a child, not in being diligent and purposeful to God and humanity. I am a child in sin, never grow old in it, but always falling out of it with an amateurity that wouldn’t make me an adult in it.

Today is 27th May! Children’s day, celebrating children in their vulnerable age and stage. To those of them who are still children in age and mind . To those who are still within the boundaries of piety, decency, godliness and values, not yet swept and washed into the cesspool of inglorious adult life. Happy Children’s day.

Our world is gone crazy and gaga, imparting negatively on the children, exposing them to the intricacies of bad adult life in their childhood age.

To them who are still at their childhood circles, resisting the ever violent wind of bad influences, happy children’ day.

To Adults, who though gone beyond the age bracket of childhood, having still a childlike disposition to things, happy Children’ Day.

Age is just a number, the disposition of our mind makes us who we are, either an adult with childish or childlike disposition or a child with an adult, childlike or childish disposition.

To both adults and children in age with a childlike disposition, happy Children’s Day.

Let our hearts be childlike in all things. A haven, a place, where peace, love, oneness, humility, charity, godliness, piety etc abound, making us not only God’s favourites, but those whose heritage is in Mathew 19.14 “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
