Stakeholders at the recently concluded Farmers/Herders Stakeholders Dialogue for Peace, Development and Social Cohesion have called on the government and development partners to support initiatives that promote collaboration between farmers and herders to enhance agricultural production.
The dialogue, organized by the Foundation for Peace, Hope, and Conflict Management (FPHCM) Nigeria, was held in Wukari, Taraba State, on Tuesday.
Participants included representatives from various community groups, government officials, and experts who discussed ways to foster peaceful coexistence and sustainable agricultural practices among farmers and herders.
The stakeholders reached several key resolutions aimed at addressing conflicts between farmers and herders, which have resulted in insecurity, criminality, and hindered development in areas such as health and education.
