Six Law School Students Kidnapped by Bandits on Their Way to Yola Campus

Six students of the Nigerian Law School have reportedly been kidnapped by suspected armed bandits while traveling to resume at the Yola campus in Adamawa State.
The abduction is said to have taken place late on Saturday, July 26, 2025, along the dangerous route between Wukari in Taraba State and parts of Benue State.
According to a fellow student from the Yola campus, who gave his name as Johnson, the kidnappers have contacted the families of the victims and are demanding a ransom of N20 million for their release.
The kidnapped students were returning to school after completing their mandatory court externship, ahead of the resumption of classes scheduled for Monday, July 28.
Those confirmed missing are Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David.
They were reportedly traveling in a vehicle belonging to AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, a commercial transport firm based in Onitsha, Anambra State.
So far, authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
The Wukari Benue route, where the kidnapping likely occurred, is known for frequent cases of abduction and violent crime, making it one of the most dangerous travel corridors in the region.
