Shettima calls on Plateau stakeholders to build bridges

Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on the people of Plateau, irrespective of their political affiliations, religious persuasions, tribal identities or sectional backgrounds to unite.
Shettima spoke during the wedding reception of Nanbam Mutfwang, daughter of Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau.
He said the wedding, which brings together the North and the South, symbolizes that  what binds Nigerians together far outweighs whatever seeks to divide the nation.
“We need to build bridges; we need to embrace one another. Challenges bring forth the character of leaders,”he said
The vice president noted that while Plateau faces challenges, they are not insurmountable, especially with the right calibre of leadership.
He expressed delight at the presence of stakeholders, describing them as the movers and shakers of Plateau politics.
“We can transform Plateau into an economic powerhouse. Though the beautiful city faces challenges that threaten to make it a depressed economy.
” Stakeholders in Jos have the capacity to change the narrative and add value,”he said.
Shettima  also urged the people to unite and live together as brothers.
On his part, Muftwang expressed delight at the presence of the Vice President and conveyed his appreciation for the goodwill of President Bola Tinubu.
He  thanked the Federal Government for its sustained progressive reforms in enhancing security in the state and the country at large.
” We must continue to forge ahead with hope, ” Muftwang said.
