Shambolic Liverpool held to a draw by West Ham

—

Liverpool has suffered another title blow after being held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham in the English Premier League matchday 35.

Liverpool’s title hopes took a turn after losing to Crystal Palace and Everton in just a few matches to conclude the season.

Amid all these ordeals, Liverpool was knocked out of the UEFA Europa League by Atalanta.

The Hammers were fired up to the lead by Jarrod Bowen just two minutes before the regular first 45 minutes. Andrew Robertson responded, grabbing an equalizer just three minutes into the second half. Liverpool took the lead through Alphonse Areola’s mysterious own goal in the 65th minute.

A fortunate West Ham were able to share the spoils following Antonio’s late equalizer.

At the summit of the Premier League table, Arsenal maintains their lead with 77 points, Manchester City sits clandestinely behind with 76 points while Liverpool remains at the third spot with 75 points.
