Seun Kuti Strikes The Runway In Paris

Nigerians making Nigeria proud in all spheres of life.

Nigerian artist Seun Kuti, son of the Afrobeats superstar Fela Kuti, recently walked the runway during the ongoing Casablanca ‘Day of Victory’ fashion show.

On Day 7 of Paris Fashion Week, he walked the runway wearing a look called Stuntman on Set, which comprised a bodysuit in white and green with blue and green stripes that resembled a flag. On its ‘Day of Victory’ Printemps-Été 2024 runway show, the singer was a model for the modern French brand Casablanca.

Kuti is hardly the only famous Nigerian to walk down a prominent runway. Back in 2018, Wizkid strutted down the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana presentation during Milan Men’s Fashion Week while wearing an outfit with gold appliqués and embellishments and a studded balaclava.

This collection, dubbed Day of Victory, which featured a son of the legendary Fela Kuti, was presented on the 63rd anniversary of Nigeria’s independence from the British. The band his father established is led by Seun Kuti, a talented performer who also walked the show’s 33rd look. This bodysuit had a boot cut and a to-the-navel neckline. It resembled his father’s matched stage attire but was Casablanca-fied with the addition of slightly modified All England Lawn Tennis Club colors. Similar colors may be found across the rest of the tennis area of the now-standard Casablanca Flashback.
