American singer and actress Selena Gomez has shared her plan to adopt children if she is still single at 35.
The 31-year-old came up with this idea after spending five years single before starting a relationship with producer and songwriter Benny Blanco last year.
In an interview with Time Magazine, the former Disney star discussed her initial struggle with loneliness and how she learned to cope with being single.
“I was alone for five years and got used to it,” she said. “Many people fear being alone, and I struggled with it for about two years. Then I accepted it and decided that if I hadn’t met anyone by 35, I would adopt.”
Gomez’s relationship with Blanco began unexpectedly, and she confirmed they were dating in December 2023.
Previously, Gomez dated The Weeknd for 10 months in 2017 and had a long, on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber before that.
