President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the deployment of 65 ambassadors-designate, 31 career diplomats and 34 non-career nominees to Nigeria’s foreign missions across the world and the United Nations.
Recall that the ambassadors were earlier confirmed by the Senate in December, paving the way for their formal postings.

According to a statement issued on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the Federal Government has already secured agrément from the United Kingdom for Ambassador Aminu Dalhatu, who will serve as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the UK.
France has also granted agrément for Ambassador Ayo Oke, Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Paris.
The Presidency disclosed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has formally notified the remaining host countries of the appointments and requested diplomatic clearance for the envoys, in line with international diplomatic protocol.
