Operatives of the Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC have apprehended a gang of kidnappers responsible for the kidnap and murder of Comrade Daniel Umaru Lagi, the father of former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Innocent Lagi.
Confirming the arrest, the Commandant of NSCDC, Ismaila Abdullahi, reported that the suspects were nabbed in a sting operation in collaboration with the troops of the Nigerian Army, Operation Whirl Stroke of the Nigerian Army.
Mr Abdullahi added that the suspects have confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for prosecution upon completion of investigation.
