Security agents arrest15 Boko Haram in Lagos

Fears that members of the outlawed terrorist group Boko Haram have infiltrated Lagos were heightened recently when it was revealed that 15 suspected members of the sect were among the 1661 people that were arrested by Ops MESA between February and May in the state. Major General Umahi General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division of the Nigerian Army said the Joint Military Task Force, Ops MESA, arrested the miscreants within the Lagos area, while its counterpart attached to the Quick Response Squad, arrested 115 criminals along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

General Umahi said the Quick Response Squad was created by the Chief of Army Staff to assist the police in patrolling flash points along federal highways.
