Sarah

—

I was barely 18 when Sarah initiated me.

It was a rainy Sunday evening in August 2009, and Sarah had come over to my place for an ECO 212 assignment on “The Influence of Shadow Banking on the Macro-Economy.”

My roommate was not around.

I thought I was winning our little study session, yet I could tell she was acting strange – she had probably taken something “fun” – with her eyes lingering on me rather than on our books.

I knew I’d lost the battle the moment she finally pushed the papers aside and claimed me.

In five seconds, I was Adam’d, with just my socks on!

Despite her taking the lead, by the time we were down two halves, she was barely clinging to life – her chest heaving at a respiratory rate of nearly two breaths per second.

I remember her saying, “You are a very strange boy; I thought you were innocent…”

We dated for a while after that.

She’s happily married to some engineer now, with three kids..
