Santos Tension Grows as Neymar Faces Pressure Over Training Ground Clash

—

Fresh tension has emerged at Santos FC after a heated training-ground incident involving Neymar and rising youngster Robinho Jr. sparked calls for a public apology.

The dispute apparently started during a session for fringe players after a league draw against Palmeiras.

Sources claim that tensions rose after the adolescent dribbled past Neymar, prompting an irate response that quickly escalated before teammates intervened.

Although Neymar is reported to have privately contacted Robinho Jr.’s representatives to resolve the matter, they are pressing for a formal public apology and want the club to handle the matter openly. The demand has taken club officials by shock, particularly since both players seemed unfazed during a follow-up training session.

The News Chronicle reports that the situation has sparked wider speculation about the young forward’s future, with some suggesting the move could be linked to contract concerns or a possible loan for more playing time. His camp, however, refuted any will to cause an exit.

With a vital match against Deportivo Recoleta in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana looming, focus is now on how fast Santos can restore order and keep their campaign on track.
