Saadatu Rimi University Empowers Information Technology Development with N30 Million Investment

Saadatu Rimi University of Education in Kumbotso, Kano State, has allocated N30 million towards its Information Technology Development Initiative, acquiring 90 interconnected terabyte capacity computers.
The move is part of the university’s strategy to enhance its technological infrastructure and compete favorably with other institutions.
In a bid to ensure academic integrity, the university has installed Close Circuit Television Cameras in examination centres, aiming to prevent malpractice and elevate student performance.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yahaya Bunkure, presented these computers, financed from the university’s revitalization funds, to the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
The university’s commitment to being fully connected with ICT is further demonstrated by the provision of accessories, including smart boards and protectors, to the Academic Staff Union of Universities, fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence.
Chairman of the union, Shittu Gargai, anticipates the positive impact of these advancements on students, staff, and the community.
Secretary of the union, Zubaida Musa, commended Prof. Yahaya Bunkure for the judicious use of funds, aligning with the university’s goal to be among the best in higher education.
