Russia Blocks Discord App

—

Russia has decided to block the popular chat platform Discord, adding it to a list of platforms already banned, such as Facebook and X, since its war with Ukraine began.

Ironically, the Russian military has been using Discord to coordinate communications, lacking its own secure messaging system.

The move follows accusations that the platform was hosting extremist content, including harmful material involving children.

Turkey has also restricted access to Discord due to its refusal to comply with government demands for user data.

Discord is currently looking into the reported outages in both countries.
