Rubi Rose, a controversial American rapper and model, has taken back her statement about being 16 when she first became a video vixen.

Rose became well-known after appearing in the music video for the Migos’ 2016 hit single “Bad and Boujee.”

On a recent episode of the Joe Budden podcast, she said she was 16 at the time. “Migos’ ‘Bad and Boujee’ was the first video I ever did. I think I was 16 or 17 when I did the video,” she recalled.

Her statement sparked backlash because the age of consent in America is 18, leading many to question why a minor was featured in an adult music video.

In response to the criticism, Rose clarified that she was actually 18 when she appeared in the video, not 16 as she had previously said on the podcast.

“I was 18 in the ‘Bad and Boujee’ video, my bad y’all,” she wrote on X.
