Roseline Meurer Breaks Silence on Tonto Dikeh, Churchill Reunion

Nollywood actress Roseline Meurer has publicly responded to the scrutiny surrounding her marriage to businessman Olakunle Churchill.

She also addressed a past interview and long-standing allegations linked to his former wife, actress Tonto Dikeh.

In a series of Instagram posts and videos shared this week, Meurer rejected claims that she recently unfollowed her husband following his reunion with his son, King Andre, whom he shares with Dikeh. She also revisited a past interview in which she described Churchill as “like a brother.”

Meurer said the earlier interview was recorded years ago when she was “young and inexperienced” and overwhelmed by public attention.

“You want me to hang on to the nonsense old video I made years ago where I explained all sorts in fear,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

She stated that at the time, the controversy surrounding Churchill’s marriage and separation was new to her and that she felt dragged into issues she did not fully understand. According to her, a public relations team influenced what she said in the past for image management.

“Right now whatever I say is the real truth,” she wrote, adding that she is now older and cannot be intimidated into making statements she does not believe.

Addressing her description of Churchill as “like a brother,” Meurer said it was the nature of their relationship at that period.

“At that time, he was like a brother to me,” she said in a video. She explained that Churchill supported her career and was close to her family, often spending time with her and her siblings. She maintained there was nothing romantic between them when she made the statement.

Meurer also firmly denied allegations that she was once a close friend of Dikeh before marrying Churchill.

“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk of best friend,” she said, challenging anyone with proof to present it publicly.

For years, some social media users have claimed that Meurer was introduced to Churchill by Dikeh and later began a relationship with him. Meurer rejected the claims, stating she had never met Dikeh and never had her phone number.

She acknowledged knowing Churchill before his marriage to Dikeh but questioned suggestions that she deliberately waited until after the marriage to pursue him.

“I knew my husband before he got married. Why I no follow am that time?” she wrote, dismissing the narrative that she intentionally entered his life after his marriage ended.

Speculation about trouble in her marriage emerged after Churchill was seen spending time with his son, King Andre. Reports circulated that Meurer had unfollowed him on Instagram.

In response, she recorded videos showing that she still follows her husband.

“I have never unfollowed my husband, and I never will,” she said. She suggested that a technical issue or deliberate manipulation may have caused the confusion, but insisted she was not responsible.

Meurer stated that she is happy in her marriage and would address any serious issue directly rather than through social media gestures. She also disclosed that Churchill’s daughter is currently staying with her and said she believes children should have access to both parents.

Churchill and Tonto Dikeh Reunion

Churchill was recently seen spending time with King Andre during the child’s birthday celebration.

The reunion drew attention because Churchill and Tonto Dikeh’s separation several years ago was followed by public exchanges and allegations.

Notably, Davido commented under a blog post featuring Tonto Dikeh’s family photos, writing: “God is good.”

His remark follows his child-custody dispute with Sophia Momodu over their daughter, Imade. Davido recently clarified that he sought joint custody rather than full custody, and later withdrew the case due to controversy surrounding the court proceedings.

Meurer, for her part, has stated that she is secure in her marriage and determined to correct what she described as false narratives about her past.

“I am not a bad person,” she said.
