Romeo Lavia and eight other senior players to miss Chelsea home tie against Aston Villa

Chelsea FC have announced that they will not be with nine of their senior players ahead of their round six Premier fixture at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday. 

Romeo Lavia who is yet to make his debut is following poor match fitness then sustained an injury during a training session has begun rehabilitation according to the Club.

Club Captain, Reece James, is also sidelined and will continue his rehabilitation process according to Chelsea.

The full lists of injured players as stated by Chelsea are as follows:

Benoit Badiashile – part of full team training for the reconditioning phase.

Armando Broja – part of full team training for the reconditioning phase.

Marcus Bettinelli – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Trevoh Chalobah – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Carney Chukwuemeka – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Wesley Fofana – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Reece James – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Christopher Nkunku – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Roméo Lavia – started rehabilitation programme.

Chelsea’s only victory this season has come from newly promoted side Luton Town.
